Mission Statement

Our goal at Wisconsin Advocates for Families of Missing People is to provide community awareness and closure and emotional relief to Wisconsin's families of missing endangered adults. WAFMP assists families of missing adults by providing immediate support to the families, distributing flyers, informing media and law enforcement of the missing status of loved ones. WAFMP also provides financial assistance in areas such as hiring investigators, transportation, planning benefits along with other needed areas of the search, and by assisting through grass roots efforts searches for the lost and through understanding and support from volunteers for those left behind. WAFMP also provides community education services in a variety of areas to reduce the incidence of tragedy and
missing persons in Wisconsin.

State Statistics

According to the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) , as of June 1, 2005, there are 250 active missing adults cases and 23 unidentified victims in Wisconsin that are listed with the NCIC. It was not always standard procedure to list people with this agency in earlier years, and is still not mandatory today, therefore not every missing is included and the actual number is much higher than this. We hope to turn up names of many more missing Wisconsin adults in the near future.
Here is a breakdown of those numbers:
ACTIVE ADULT MISSING PERSON ENTRIES: 250
ACTIVE MALE ADULT MISSING PERSON ENTRIES: 122
ACTIVE FEMALE ADULT MISSING PERSON ENTRIES: 128
ACTIVE ADULT UNIDENTIFIED PERSON ENTRIES: 23
ACTIVE MALE ADULT UNIDENTIFIED PERSON ENTRIES: 13
ACTIVE FEMALE ADULT UNIDENTIFIED PERSON ENTRIES: 9
ACTIVE UNKNOWN SEX ADULT UNIDENTIFIED PERSON ENTRIES: 1

Missing Adult Alert

In the event of a missing adult alert the individual's information will be displayed here!

Featured Adult

Each month WAFMP will feature a missing or unidentified adult. This is our way of  continuing our efforts in the realization that these are individuals who have family and friends whose lives have been changed by the unknown. We need to treat each situation of a missing adult separately. Not classify them as one.
